LogisVert, closed federal programs and new grants announced for 2027: what is available now for a heat pump in Québec.
LogisVert: the current program in Québec
Hydro-Québec's LogisVert program offers up to $6,700 for a heat pump, depending on the unit and dwelling. It is available to owners and tenants of houses, condos, plexes and multi-unit buildings.
Applications are submitted after installation: you have 9 months from the installation date to apply. The unit's AHRI number is used to check that it is on the list of eligible heat pumps.
For the Equinox Signature 12,000 BTU (AHRI 216506196), the LogisVert rebate is $1,680*.
New federal grants announced for 2027
On October 8, 2026, the federal government announced plans to offer heat pump grants starting in 2027. Details are not yet known. LogisVert remains in effect and applications are being processed normally.
Programs that have ended
The federal Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program (up to $10,000 for oil-heated households) has not accepted applications since July 31, 2026. Already-approved applicants must submit their final receipts by January 31, 2027.
The conversion component of Québec's Chauffez vert program ended on March 31, 2026. The Canada Greener Homes Grant is also closed.
Low-income households and multi-unit buildings
Hydro-Québec also offers heat pumps at no cost, with support, to eligible low-income households. Owners of multi-unit buildings in an energy poverty zone qualify for a bonus (see our article on multi-unit buildings).
